Thanks for the responses.

I booted with -kv and it booted into the debugger.  The last 2 lines on the 
output before the hang are:
PCI Express-device: pci1028,23d at 1d,uhci3
uhci3 is /pci at 0,0/pci1028,23 at 1d

Then hard hang.  F1+a does nothing at this point.

I went back into the BIOS and disabled the USB device and it sailed right 
through the boot up w/o hanging.  Of course I couldn't do anything since my 
keyboard is USB :(.  Unfortunetly, this is a newer MB w/o PS2 keyboard ports so 
I'm kinda stuck at this point.

Since I'm doing a PXE boot, is there anything I can change to help it along?

Guess I need to come up with an older PCI USB card from some place.
