Wow. Sorry for the extra long delay on this issue. After adding the -v to the boot command I was able see the last command involved a mouse driver. After some random banging on the laptop I found out that it has to do with the laptop touch pad. After clicking the buttons on the touch pad, the installation gave up trying to obtain control from the bios and continued booting.
My issue now is that the installation fails. I've attached logs and a screen capture. If you think I should open a new thread on this please let me know.
