This effort has substantial overlap with refactoring work in the
existing set of Install CG projects. Given the list of initial
contributors aren't active committers to any of the existing projects,
I'd rather see the team members participate in one or more of the
existing projects than start a new one, at least until we see that
separating the discussion and the development effort has some
significant benefit.
My list of deliverables for an effort like this one is
(a) one or more new DC templates and the output images of those
templates,
(b) one or more modifications to the pkg(5) import recipes, and
(c) changes to existing consolidations' packaging and initial
configuration.
All of these seem best pursued in the context of the existing
projects/consolidations, rather than separately.
