I am in the same boat. Is there a fix in sight. It's nine days now that this is broken. I can install new packages but pkg fix refuses to work.
I get the following on #pkg fix pkg: Maximum number of network retries exceeded . Details follow: Transfer from 'http://pkg.opensolaris.org' failed: Read error on tar stream. (happened 4 times) -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
