Hi, I am looking for information as to how to upgrade an existing Solaris 10 installation to Indiana. Looking through the package/install projects it looks like this is planned/begun/... , but what is the current status?
What I want to do in more detail is to be able to upgrade to Indiana on a Sun X86 machine running Solaris 10. I have several partitions available for the upgrade process. If I was to use SXCE I could have simply used luupgrade - working around a number of "features" in the process... ;) but since this is about to be removed in favor of the new packaging/beadm/... stuff I would rather skip the LU altogether. A note on "upgrading" here - it would be perfectly ok to be able to install a fresh install of Indiana on another partition - but it must be done when running on Solaris 10, and without using a physical CD/DVD/USB device.
