I had hard time trying to install OpenSolaris on a SPARC machine using autoinstall. Just connected Sun Blade 2500 to another x86 machine with OpenSolaris using a crossover cable. x86 has DHCP and autoinstall server set up, and some fake static IP assigned to it. However I wasn't sure what to set for default gateway, so I set the same IP for it. However when I boot up Sun Blade and make "boot net:dhcp" it doesn't find a server for some reason. Something is probably messed up, but I'm not sure what. If you can send us the details of what you did for setup, what your dhcp table looks like, etc.. that will help us to help you to get this to work. thanks, sarah
