I had the same problem, and fixed it by changing some BIOS settings. I'm not sure exactly which one did it, but I changed:
1) My BIOS boot order, so that the CD came before the hard drive (previously, I was booting using the Boot Selector menu - F12 for me) 2) My machine had a RAID mode enabled, which I disabled (I switched to 'only if signed') I strongly suspect it was #1 that did it, but I didn't test! -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
