I vote for the second thing you've done. (disable RAID) I have a raid 0 matrix on my machine and I have this error. When I had a different mb, with nvidia raid controller I couldn't install open solaris either but with a different error which I don't remember.
I'm curious if anybody has been able to install open solaris while having some raid matrix enabled on their machine. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
