I'm building a new ZFS SAN box, and I plan on booting from a mirrored pair of Intel 40GB SSD drives. The problem that I'm running in to (using standard SATA drives for testing) is that when I enable the software RAID, it will not boot and gives me a "console login service(s) cannot run" error.
Do I need to use a hardware RAID card to accomplish this rather than the onboard RAID? I'd rather not do that if I can get away with it, but I suppose if that's a deal-breaker I can add in an expansion card. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
