The build that I'm working on has SAS ports that I'll be using for all of the data drives (currently a 24 disk chassis, with expansion to additional chassis when I need them) but I want to boot from a mirrored volume. Based on other posts in this thread I don't believe that's possible with the root partition using ZFS.
