The target for the last several months has been to get to the ability to submit a request and have it run on the first idle engine. Currently userspace has to either use the ancient BSD round-robin interface, or more intelligently distribute its workload by querying the busy status of the system and predicting its own requirements. This series replaces that with a late greedy dispatch over a predefined set of engines. -chris
