Some time I screwed up my PC with some incompatible MDs and unable to
boot normally, then I tried Safe Mode and reinstall another stable
one, seems to work

If your laptop can handle the junk vista, I'm sure win 7 would be a
goood choice to upgrade :) For me, it's still a dream... (stupid
crappy pc)
