@tribaljet
Yeah I read about fix as well, this happened on one of my mates PC's between
ffdshow and oblivion, he had set ffdshow so that it saw both the Game exe
and the launcher as exceptions to ffdshow but just to be a pain in the ass
it fucked up as soon as he went into the game, so we double checked it and
everything and yet it still was making the game audio stutter and etc no
matter what the settings were, so we uninstalled it and system restored it
to just before he installed ffdshow and voila!, It worked normally once
again. I've read the exact same thing online at least a dozen times, so just
to be on the safe side I wouldn't install ffdshow if you have any of the
above mentioned games.

Mind you the whole adding the game to the ffdshow exceptions list does
generally work, just not all the time, adding oblivion to the ffdshow
exception list on my pc worked but yet when I added fallout 3 to it in the
exact same manner it did not work no matter what I tried, which once again
ment I had to do a system restore to before installing ffdshow.

Actually, and if I'm not mistaken, I've read a bit about issues
between ffdshow and Fallout 3,
and you could install ffdshow without any trouble as long as you went
to ffdshow audio decoder
config -> directshow control and added the exe files for those games
in the "Don't use ffdshow in:".
It might behave slightly different, depending on specific machine
specs, but seemed to solve any
issues pending. The only other problem I've seen was with Final
Fantasy VII, in which while installing
K-Lite you had to select Gabest as the avi splitter or the movies
would be in a very smooth slow-mo :)
