If it was a controller problem (something to do with your board) you would
more than likely be having other problems. However if I read your post
correctly you say you have a 280watt or something similar to that when the
card requires a 550watt, you need to upgrade your PSU (Power Supply Unit),
they don't cost very much and ofter increase system stability if you are
running intensive tasks.
