I have to slightly agree with you, all the games I run (mostly games from blizzard entertainment) run better in XP then 7. I believe it has to do with the drivers having direct Hardware access in XP whereas in 7, they communicate with something else before communicating with the driver (and with other slow hardware components like CPU, this can slow graphics down bad)
If it was in some way possible to emulate Hardware TnL under XP, yea that would be my OS of choice. Idk why it isn't possible though... (3DA nor DXTweaker can do it because with any app I do it with, it results in error).
