Basically all values other than 0 make games run faster (note I said
faster, most if not all lose image quality), but the majority of games
run better with 1, only a few run better with 2. I'm saying this since
a while ago Angelic was planning on making all games run at value 2 by
default, which in my opinion is a big mistake because value 2 sucks
for many games.

It isn't just nvidia and ati that do some smart rebranding, intel does
too, but since they have much less products, they have to be smart
about it :S
