About the force aero on any card with a single line, that's a lie. Aero
requries a DirectX 9 compatible card to function, yes there are some cards
where it can be forced but that's only because they are not natively
compatible by means of software but are hardware capable. Imo I reckon that
the intel driver was installed originally and the end user has decided to
force install some nvidia drivers over the top, causing the corruption you
onserved upon uninstall. Ill have a look at that laptop's specs online and
see if there are niche's which could cause this sort of issue (dual cards,
new nvidia optimus technology).

Hello brothers,
I write to report one of the strangest things that has ever happened
to me, I usually help my friends to keep their pc in a good healt
status doing ordinary stuff like update drivers and so on... yesterday
I was working on a toshiba satellite a100-803 and while uninstalling
some crap (toolbars and so on) I found that someone had installed
Nvidia drivers on it and the intel driver weren't enlisted among
installed applications ( but the intel cp was present in the control
panel, and correctly working).
I obviously uninstalled nvidia drivers expecting nothing to change,
but actually, after uninstalling nvidia drivers, aero stopped working
(with no error messages) and I had to install 945 stock drivers
(didn't try AT's v series as I wasn't able to find those for vista and
obviously sherry beta didn't work on vista ( it should be only for 7
right?)).
Now, I know there's a way to force aero on every video card with a
command line but I'm sure no one has done it as this friend of mine is
not a power user. I don't understand why the laptop had nvidia driver
installed ( the lappy is not equipped with two video cards and when I
uninstalled nvidia drivers, vista rolled back to "standard vga
adapter" not to intel wddm drivers.
I hope I was clear, please brothers help me to find the reason of
this.
(why the hell a 945 would work with nvidia driver arriving at even
activating aero?)
I don't know nvidia driver version since I uninstalled it without
expecting this (otherwise I would have mailed Angelic and the others
at lightspeed) If there's a way to get it back tell me how please.
PS there was no nvidia cp in windows vista cp and I have reason to
believe that those drivers were designed for windows xp.
