I felt that with a coppermine celeron @ 700mhz, but then I got tired of that bs and got a used p3 @ 650 and it was much quicker doing basically everything. Same fsb, less clock, twice the cache, it ruled! :D So yes, atoms, neos, celerons, semprons, are all best to be avoided, for the sake of sanity :))
