Damn, I couldn't find anything that would enable me to force WASAPI on
a specific app, other than apps supporting it by their own :S

Well, first there are no real hardcore players on linux, most are on
windows and one on osx. Wait, which OSes you have on which machine?
And would a usb sound card be good for you, enabling you to use it on
both computers?
