Yes Vindictus is physics crazy! I got much better results running on
DirectX 8, but I was getting a huge hang up when switching between GUI
panels in game for some reason. Perhaps after Windows 7 works it's
magic, things will be better, but yes DX8 seems to be much better for
the framerate. I'm not surprised about the 1.6, that's exactly what I
am dealing with. I had the framerate up around 60 on my desktop on
lowest settings w/ DX8, but again, the GUI panel hang just makes
intolerable! Hopefully, once I get it all figured out, I can post
some screenies to this thread and show off my cute little Evie kicking
gnoll hiney in a short skirt! haha

Thanks for the info about Espionage724. I'll be sure not to go on a
topic spree. I too prefer Nvidia, however for the particular mobo I
have in this dreaded desktop, ATI Radeon had the only card with 512MB,
and also the only card with 64 bit DDR3, so I gave it a try...this is
my first and last ATI card haha. On a second note, I've long learned
my lesson about the Intel onboard graphics, but when I purchased the
laptop I was under the impression that the GPU was upgradeable, and at
the time had my sights set on a Nvidia mobile card that *would* have
been very nice for this grade of laptop. Also, the laptop was
purchased in Jan. 2008, so for the time, I thought it was a fairly
decent buy for $600.
