that's very sad news o_o as tribaljet said netbooks need a cooling pad (at least for gaming) as they can get very hot, try to appeal for the warranty as i see this is very unusual and as far as i know all machines are built with a overheat protection system that will turn off the computer to prevent further damage, if is the case and if your machine is still under warranty you deserve a free of charge replacement
