MAD, I'm more knowledgeable about this that you assume. Like I said before, MDR reference is very vague as there many Sony models with that reference. You can get a pair of Sony MDR-V700 or a pair of MDR-7506 for a third of the price of Beats and blowing them out of the water.
Skullcandy headphones are the worst, that's the correct sentence. They're not good in anything, they're gaudy trash sounding pieces of plastic. While Beats Pro aren't so overpriced trash, they're still absurdly overpriced and overall frowned upon by ALL who are in the pro audio business, as well as everyone on the audiophile community. Beats are an offence on audio on several levels. I'm very sorry you were fooled into getting Beats MAD, but hopefully in the future you will get actually good things. If you tell me what do you look for on headphones, I'll tell you a couple alternatives that will serve you better than those Beats in every possible aspect. The only good thing Monster did were their Turbine IEM line. On the other hand, Beats should be a capital sin, along with the other 7. Yes, they're that bad. Correction, there is another good thing Monster did, and that's marketing, as they can peddle their expensive junk to people who buy tons of iPods and get those worthless headphones thinking they're the shit. And yes, they're real shit indeed. There is absolutely NO positive point or reason on getting Beats. I'm not a first time "sailor" when it comes to audio, so give me some credit man. But images speak better than words, so I leave you a little video from a very renowned individual in the REAL Hi-Fi world: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipZY0qGrA9Y&feature=feedlik Months ago there was a kid who was making fun of the community and the work done here, as well as praising "mods" done by youtube folks. I don't know if he was one of those, but there were some accusations made against the group and people here, things that aren't tolerable.
