Hum, I see. Those beyers are very fine indeed.
At first, people who don't have trained ears might not listen easily
to differences between headphones. But don't tell me that even
untrained ears can't tell the difference between, let's say, a K701
and a XB700 :) Bumped frequencies on opposite ends, impossible to
think they're the same.

My point is that people who really like music, and audio in general,
should do research before buying the first thing that might look good
based on clever advertising. You know that the best brands are seldom
advertised. And someone with enough money to get beats can spend half
the money on a better pair and the other half on a head amp, and be
much better served, right?

But what entry headphones do you consider as recommendable to the
members of our group? I'm talking about entry level here, not head-fi
entry level, which might sound strange to say so, but it's true :) I
already spoke of the JVC HARX700. Perhaps Sony XB500 and Shure SRH440?

Oh, and I'm glad you didn't get hung over. Nowadays it's rare to have
one, but when they hit, they hit hard :)
