I stopped the service and re-ran the Installer. It went through to Click "Finish" to complete the installation.
I clicked "Finish and got the error message InterMapper service failed. (1073) I manually started the service and then started the IM console without error. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Christopher L. The installer will stop the service before doing the copy, which should release the executable file so that we can copy over it. It will then restart after the copy with the new executable. Either the service failed to stop at all, or it stopped but didn't release the file before the attempt to copy gave up trying. The thing to do is to check using the services control panel to see if the service has stopped. If it has, go ahead and retry the installation. If it hasn't, you should stop the service from the control panel before retrying the installation. Remember to close the control panel or MMC before trying the installation again. I would be interested in knowing whether the service had stopped correctly or not when you first check. If it did, then I probably just need to be a bit more forgiving in waiting for its executable to be released. If not, then I need to look deeper.
