It's time for my fourth annual request for a logarithmic scale option in strip charts. The original request and Rich Brown's response is copied below.

If it can be implemented, I suggest getting around the anomaly of log(0) being undefined by setting log(0) to zero. Since most variables for which the log scale would be useful are positive integer values, setting log(0)=0 would not produce a singular point.

In lieu of a log scale (base 10) for all strip charts, perhaps the "Interface Statistics" panel could include log(Bytes/Second). Then I could construct my own log scale charts.

If not this year, maybe next.  :-)

Thanks for the note. A log scale option makes sense. It's on the list for future enhancements (although we have not scheduled it yet.)
