Tim:

Thanks for reporting the issue with the default location of the chart popup menus. I will take a look at that.

It is possible to toggle the visibility of a particular data set by clicking on the data set title in the chart legend. Is it possible that an extra click somehow registered in that area when you clicked and let go on the popup menu? This would explain the disappearance of the data set in the chart. When the chart data set is hidden, the text appears in grey and the legend box color changes to grey as well. You can make the data reappear by single-clicking on the legend text.

The extra text at the end of the chart legend may be a bug; there is still an unresolved issue with a "garbled" chart legend that I have not been able to reproduce.

Thanks,

New chart features look good. Here's what happened to me. I took a less important chart and clicked on each of the pop-ups at the bottom left. Because the chart was at the top of the screen, the mouse pointer was within each pop-up when it appeared, and so just clicking and letting go changed the chart appearance (I think this is an issue with 4.2 also). Worse though was that as the chart legend moved to the bottom of the chart, the data vanished. Also the legend had some text appended (couple of words I didn't note, sorry).

I quit 4.2.1b4 without saving that map and restarted 4.2 and the data re-appeared (phew).
