One other thing on notifications. Has anyone come up with a way for voice message notifications? Meaning IM would dial your telephone number and leave a voice message.

There is a service that will do this for a fee called iPing that can be called using curl or something similar as a command-line notifier. The service is at http://www.iping.com/, and we actually used it as one of our examples for the command-line notifier documentation: http://www.intermapper.com/docs/WebHelp/ch3-notifications/clexample.htm

I think one or two people have set up numeric pager notifiers to dial their numbers, so that when they get a call from the right number and just get the tones, they know they'd better check InterMapper. Not high-tech, nor very informative without checking the map, but something.
