Bennie,
It is very easy to make an already existing map into a lower-level map. In fact, you need to have an existing map to make such a link. Here's what to do:
On the java clients, you can just drag an existing map from the Map List onto another map. This creates a map status probe configured to point at the correct map. The result will be an object on the higher-level map that reflects the overall worst status on the lower-level map, and that takes you to that map when you double click.
On the tradional Mac version, it is a little more complex, because you have to create and configure the map status probe by hand. Create a new device with the address "127.0.0.1", probe type "Map Status", and the correct map name.
I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

That is kind of what I figured. Having no alarms for AU's on the main map. Is there any way to make an already created map a sub-map? As these are all on the same server is there any benefit to doing this other then easier navigation? Which would really be nice unless I have to recreate every map.
One other thing on notifications. Has anyone come up with a way for voice message notifications? Meaning IM would dial your telephone number and leave a voice message.
Thanks Bennie

I have a couple thoughts:
- You can put a reference point on each sub-map. That is, the Access Unit on a
submap can have a reference point, that will suppress the notifications for its
clients (customer premise equipment).
- I would invite everyone to read a new draft of the manual page for Notification Dependencies at:
http://www.intermapper.com/immanual/chapter3/xdependencies.html
Note: We're considering changing to use the term "vantage point" instead of
"reference point". It's used in this Is this a better word?
Thanks!
