Hi,

Patrick - the solution you would go for is to utilize the feature of intermapperd to only run an import via the CLI.

How you have it fire on database updates depends on the platform you are on, but on Mac OS X I would do something like this:

1: On database update, write file to 'watchfolder' with device update/ creation data
2: Use FolderActions to handle new files on your watchfolder
On other platforms you could have a cron job that handles the watchfolder job.

I'm not done with our solution yet, but we are looking into automating this process as well.
