Let me support Hans on this... In the traditional interface if you double click a device it opens the 'device info' window. From here you can set the device address, the probe, the community string, the timeout, the device comment, and the behaviour, and see the SNMP sysdesc all in one handy ergonomic place, and without having to go into map edit mode. With new interface, double clicking a device has no effect. You have to go into map edit mode, select the device. Then you have to do Network/Set Info/xxx six different times to do what was so easy to do with the traditional interface. Then you have to go out of map edit mode. Many more steps involved. The traditional interface is more efficient for this very commonly performed action.
