You can do most of this now. (But see my note #3 below.) In the current release,
there are two ways to acknowledge/ignore interfaces that are down:

1) Previous versions of InterMapper allowed you to hide an interface. This
removes it from the map and permanently prevents it from affecting the state of
the device (until you un-hide it.) To do this:

        a) Select the the interface's oval, choose Edit -> Hide Selection, or
        b) Open the Interfaces window and uncheck the box at the left side for
the
interface(s)

2) InterMapper 4.5 allows you to acknowledge an interface so that its
outage
doesn't affect the device's status. To do this:

        a) Right-click on the the link (line) of the down interface, and choose
Acknowledge.
        b) Open the Interfaces window and select one or many interfaces, and
right-click to Acknowledge.

When all the "down" interfaces have been acknowledged, the switch will turn
green. An acknowledged interface will have a blue "X". If the interface comes
back up, the X will disappear. If that interface subsequently goes down, it will
have a red X, and the device will go back into alarm.

3) I realize that the two facilities above don't quite do what you want.
From
earlier correspondence, I see that you have a number of ports that go up and
down on a regular basis as people connect and disconnect from them. You'd like
to have a way to ignore these outages, or indefinitely acknowledge them. I
believe this will be straightforward to do in a future version.

Please get back to me if you have further questions. Thanks.
