2) InterMapper 4.5 allows you to acknowledge an interface so that
its outage
doesn't affect the device's status. To do this:
a) Right-click on the the link (line) of the down interface, and
choose Acknowledge.
b) Open the Interfaces window and select one or many interfaces,
and right-click to Acknowledge.
A minor nit from our standpoint is that it is impossible to tell from
looking at the map if the interface has been locally acknowledged on
InterMapper or if it has been configured admin down on the device
itself. The functionality we want is there, but from a "visual
documentation of the state of the network" standpoint, it would be
nice to be able to tell where the ack took place.
