Denis, It isn't possible to change the default from 'Basic' to 'Timed'; the user needs to select 'Timed' from the drop-down list when he or she acknowledges a device. I can submit this as an enhancement request for you.

We have a high volume of clientele that is often working on their servers, setting the probe to alarm, but they would like to know if the probe we are monitoring remains down for more than an hour.
