Bennie, When you import a MIB successfully, InterMapper will display a message "Successfully imported MIB...MIB file <filename> imported". InterMapper supports two kinds of OID's: Numeric and Symbolic. The Symbolic OIDs become available when a MIB has been imported into InterMapper. This will enhance the formatting of the trap data displayed in the Event log (if the device is configured to send traps to InterMapper), but it will not automatically create a probe for the device. It is useful if you are creating your own custom SNMP probes, because then you don't have to enter numeric OIDs when creating your probe file. Are you trying to create a custom probe for an Alvarion radio? InterMapper does provide Alvarion-specific probes in the Wireless Add-On pack.

How do you know if it was successful and how do you use it after that?
