Hi Tim,

What happens if you use the SNMP Traffic probe, or the Single OID Viewer
probe, on one of the Dragonwave radios? The round-trip time should be
roughly the same as what you are seeing in your custom probe.

If you would like for me to post your Dragonwave probe on our website, I
would be happy to do so as well as send you an InterMapper T-shirt for your
trouble! You can submit your probe to [EMAIL PROTECTED] It would then
appear on our collection of user-contributed probes page:

Many thanks!

Subject: [IM-Talk] Custom probe = extremely high response times

Guys,

I wrote a custom probe for Dragonwave licensed radios which grabs five
OIDs via SNMP. Everything's working fine, except that I noticed the
response time on them is very high, ranging from 300 to 1800ms. Has
anyone had this kind of experience with custom probes before? Is there
any tuning I can do to reduce the response time?
