In version 5.2.2, we changed the implementation of the refresh popup on
the map pages. With the previous implementation, if there was an error
reloading the page once, the page would stop refreshing until you
manually intervened. We fixed this by introducing a JS-based refresh in
5.2.2.

We are looking to into your JS error. Thanks for the report!
