Here is a related window behavior that I noticed a little while ago.

- Open a small window from any application other then IM Remote, along with a
chart of an editable map. The window doesn't contribute to the problem but
helps show it.

- Right click on an object and select "Set Probe". (Set Probe window grows in
front of chart then snaps behind attached to the map window). As a side oddity,
if you highlight the object, click on chart and then select "Set Probe" from
the menu bar the probe window will attach to the chart instead of the map.

- Close Set Probe window.

- Right click and select "Set Probe" again. The window grows the same as
before but this time snaps behind the map window. Now the map window is in
front of the chart.

- Dragging the map around show window behavior as expected accept that it is
now in front of the chart.

- Selecting/Dragging the chart will snap the chart over the map and the map
behind all other windows. Selecting the map again will leave the chart behind
but snap put the map above other windows allowing other app windows between map
and chart.

I have tried this on multiple Macs as well as Linux and Windows workstations.
It only seems to occur if chart windows are forced in front of maps, which I
have only seen on some Macs. Using other modal dialogs disconnects the chart
positioning but doesn't seem to affect behavior with windows of other apps.
