The latest Java updates from Apple have some very odd window-layering problems. We're still trying to figure out small reproducible test cases and possible workarounds for all of them. 'Regular keyboard short-cuts to cycle through' windows are one thing that was broken with the window-layering funkiness. If it was reduced to be only large enough to contain the poll interval, horizontal scrollbar, and zoom, it would be around 235 pixels wide. I am surprised to hear that a 128-pixel wide Map window is at all useful. How are you using it?
