As much as I appreciate everybody taking this opportunity to vent about their troubles with Apache on Windows, could we not hijack this topic - which was about release management and in particular LTS - and turn it into Apache on Windows topic? We can have separate Apache on Windows topic where people can share their pain and trade solutions.
The reason for the connection is simple ... currently PHP5.2 IS the LTS version for MANY users who are running windows based apache servers. Which is the only reason that I was suggesting that this is part of the discussion on setting a current LTS. It's not just chnages to the internal operation of PHP that causes problems for users, simply installing a working copy is somewhat important?
Moving those users forward to the current builds is another thread that needs addressing.
