The Braga Meetings on Ethics and Political Philosophy have
established a reputation for providing scholars with an excellent
opportunity to present both advanced and exploratory work to a
welcoming audience. Graduate students, junior researchers and senior
scholars are welcome to submit their work.

Proposals are welcome: our Meeting combines two different modalities.
You can either submit your abstract to the General Sessions or to the
Special Sessions, not both.

Our General Sessions welcomes proposals in any area of moral,
political, or legal philosophy and in normative political theory.
Selected submissions to these sessions will be organized in panels in
the according to thematic affinity.

Special Session: "Revisiting The Idea of Human Rights."

On this tenth edition of our Meetings we will also celebrate the
tenth anniversary of Charles Beitz’s The Idea of Human Rights. For
this remarkable occasion we will host a special session focused on
the assessment of the practical/political turn on human rights with
Charles Beitz and a selected group of keynote speakers. As part of
this research project we plan to publish a selection of papers
presented therein for a special issue of a peer-review academic
journal. If you want to submit to this special session please choose
the appropriate option in the registration form.

Keynote speakers this year will be:

Prof. Charles Beitz (Princeton University)
Prof. Allen Buchanan (Duke University)
Prof. Andreas Føllesdal (PluriCourts-University of Oslo)
Prof. Regina Kreide (Justus Liebig University, Giessen)
