Natalie...

I have been in the MUMPS world for nearly 25 years. When using the early
versions of MUMPS, M-11 and later DSM11 on the PDP 11 series of computers,
database degradation was a common occurrence, due mainly to the instability
of the removable media disk drives.

I also have extensive experience with DTM mumps. Again, earlier versions
(pre 6.0 ) were a little unstable, specifically when the PC lost power while
DTM was running.

I have several clients using Cache, my first involvement coming with version
2.1. Through numerous upgrades, I can truly say that I have never had any
problems with data integrity using Cache ( knock on wood ).

I sometimes remember the all nighters of repairing databases with nostalgia
( but I really don't miss them ).
