This is what I wanted to say :-). Surely, you didn't. There won't be that much traffic on any one channel. Why would anyone route all the SMS messages for one nation across one server? Well, you won't have each one sending a message every 4 seconds. I'm more inclined to think that the issue is a centralized look-up to find out any recipient's current cell. But I could come up with an algorithm to minimize traffic.
