Hi All
Denver
It is possible to reclaim license slots on a Cache restart
do $System.CSP.SetConfig("ClearSessionsOnRestart",1)
the default is 0 so the License slots are not reclaimed - the above
does the biz system wide

I agree with the DoS comments from John
I was with a client only yesterday he uses Weblink but looking at CSP
- he would require a small number of csp users - it's a B2B type web
app so there are limited number of users - all hosted on a single
server which serves the office telnet apps and a few/infrequent CSP
apps to the world
His concern (and a good one) is that with a user count type license
the system would be too open to a DoS type attack
a malicious person would only need to keep attempting to log on in a
CSP page every 10 minutes or so to consume all the license slots
blowing up not only the web app but the back office terminal based app
as well
Now I believe that there are mixed license where you can have say 20
count with 2 (or whatever) being reserved for CSP I will need to talk
to ISC sales to be sure
===
The real kicker is the 15 min grace period - but personally I do not
believe that the web license is too expensive - am just installing one
for a client
and yes it's limited to 100 processes - ie 100 concurrent page
requests being served - with no grace periods (or so I believe)
The problem is with smaller systems and the difficulty in assessing
demand - difficult to sell to the small end user

Agree with the others that PayPal looks a good solution, quite easy to
set up - but Cache could integrate with any on-line merchant clearing
system - it's usually just a matter of talking to the clearing system
by Posts using %Net.HttRequest
Imaging is also a possibiity, I have used Cache as a text database for
keeping meta data on the images with the actual image being served up
as a Tiff
there are some good products around that can do scaling/rotation etc
of Tiff images and convert them to Gifs
