Government Ask GKI Yasmin Church to Move

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - After the tug for months, finally Internal Affairs
Minister decides that the building of Indonesian Christian Church (GKI) Yasmin,
Bogor, West Java had to be relocated. "This is the best solution," said a
spokesman from the Internal Affairs Ministry (Kemendagri), Mr. Reydonnyzar
Moenek when contacted by Tempo, Sunday, 9 September 2012.

According Reydonnyzar, the government is preparing replacement land for the GKI
Yasmin on Jl. Dr. Semeru, Bogor regency. "Importantly, the goal is all can
worship," he said. City Government even allocate up to Rp 10 billion for the
construction of new building of GKI Yasmin church in the Budget. "It is common
ground that will benefit everyone," said Reydonnyzar.

He asked the congregations of GKI Yasmin willing to accept this relocation
decision gracefully. "The government has asked for the wisdom of all parties,
including from the GKI Yasmin Church," he said. He admits this solution against
the Supreme Court decision that gave the place the GKI Yasmin in place now.
Reydonnyzar also confirmed case of GKI Yasmin is not blasphemy or violations of
religious freedom. "It's just a matter between the mayor and its citizens,"
said Reydonnyzar lightly.

Friday, September 7, 2012, Internal Affairs Minister - Mr Gamawan Fauzi met
with the Mayor of Bogor, Indonesia Ulema Council, Forkami, FKUB and
representatives of GKI Yasmin. At the end of the meeting, Gamawan decide
relocation is the solution for this problem.

GKI Yasmin spokesman Bona Sigalingging flatly rejected the decision. "It's not
about the location, no matter where, no matter how expensive or relocation, we
will not accept," said Bona hard. According to him, the relocation GKI Yasmin
made the rule of law in Indonesia has collapsed. "There will be a separation
and segregation based on racial, national unity was betrayed," he said.

GKI Yasmin Bona describes people actually agree with the solution that was
released the National Security Council (NSC) some time ago, namely the
construction of places of worship of other religions right beside the GKI
Yasmin. But Bona admitted not understand, why the sudden relocation decision
was decided.

"Now GKI Yasmin relocated, HKBP Filadelfia relocated, relocated Ahmadis, Shias
also relocated. It states what?" Bona said scathingly.

* Maybe the best solution is to remove the major from Bogor to other area in
Indonesia. :)
