Organisation's workforce - Individual scores add up Michael Phelps' superlative feats at the Beijing Olympics have demonstrated that high performance of one individual can make a significant impact on the overall country tally. Intriguingly, what's true for sports is true for an organisation too —individual scores add up. A bigger impact is created if an organisation institutionalises a process for producing high performance. China lives that example and has topped the Gold medals tally by a wide margin. It's not enough to create a few top performers; it's about creating an environment of high performance for the workforce.
