Another possibility is a problem in IOIOLib and/or PJC (the library that
IOIOLib uses in order to access the serial port) over Windows 8. I'm
releasing a new version soon with an updated PJC. So far the latest version
seems *less* reliable than the current one for Windows (although works well
on OSX, Linux and even RaspPi!). Hopefully I'll get it resolved shortly.
