Good day Ytai,
I solved the issue. Thanks to the previous advice you gave - "USB
connections is flaky". Just bought a new and shorter cable, then the
HelloIOIOSwing.jar successfully connected with my IOIO. There is a little
twist on this, it was not just the cable. After testing the
HelloIOIOSwing.jar i disconnected my IOIO and plugged in my modem for my
internet connection, then when I attempted to run the jar app again, it was
like before, no connection can be established. After removing the modem and
rebooting my laptop the app worked perfectly again :). So i figured that my
modem was the one blocking the connection to my IOIO port :) I hope that if
anyone experience the same problem they try the jar file with a fresh boot
pc and no other ports connected.

Oh and a quick questions please., my IOIO power led does not light when im
connecting from the jst with a 9v Alkaline battery (i just learned these
batteries are not good) but it lights when i use GND-VIN(using the same
battery) and USB. Is the JST connector on my board possibly faulty? If it
is, will my board be okay if i just use the VIN-GND instead? i dont want my
board to be replaced because it will take time.

Thanks a bunch! :)
