We're talking to SPHERES using RS-232 so we had a USB to RS-232 converted added to the flight units. If you look at the flight units, the converter is tucked in behind the battery compartment. Over the serial line, we send state packets and waypoint commands to SPHERES from Tango. Let me know if you have more questions.
