For a given set of requirements a decent engineer would consider the
implementation alternatives and try to assess which one is beneficial. It
is possible that the IOIO is not the optimal solution to the problems
you've proposed it for or that whomever made the decision does not have a
good understanding of the pros and cons of using the IOIO for their problem
are.

As a starting point, it could help you if you try to understand from them
why. What makes the other solution better. In a real world, it is a
perfectly acceptable answer to say "because we have a different reasonably
working solution" even if in hind-sight it isn't optimal. Why invest in
replacing something that's already working? Also, considerations such as
using something that we already understand and trust or that our technical
staff are skillful with are often very reasonable.

If there's a specific problem at hand that you're trying to propose the
IOIO for I'd be happy to drop by Moffet for a quick chat with the team on
whether / how the IOIO can help in solving it.
