I don't think the Teensy supports USB Host, which is what would be required in this case. 3. The power supply would need to be able to source enough current to charge the phone. Not sure whether AA are the best option. I normally prefer LiPo for portable setups. You don't need a regulator, the IOIO had an onboard one. Just supply 5-15V.
